The Narcissist is never there for you, ever.

They might show up on occasion to make you think that they are, but their offers to help are typically either insincere or rooted in a desire to shame and or to control.

By habit, Narcissists are transactional people. Machiavelli personally called them all “Fickle”, noting essentially that the Narcissist is transactional and only in any relationship for themselves.

The Narcissist would rather impress a stranger than try to keep a relationship with a loved one respectful. Expect them to devalue anyone who shows them respect; most narcy people tend to believe that showing kindness or compassion for others makes a human person socially and emotionally weak.
